Contemporary expressionism, soul ink painting splash-color and oil painting splash-color artist Wu Niangu  

Wu Niangu, Graciously named Caiweng, self-titled Anlehou, his study named Jingxinzhai. Chinese National-level artist. Professional artist. The world’s 100 influential Chinese craft artists. Wu Niangu was born in 1973, and hails from Hanzeng, Jiangyou, Mianyang City, Sichuan Province. He is a native of Wujia Lion Mountain, Anju District, Suining City, Sichuan Province, and is originally a native of Prefecture of Sinan in Guizhou.

Wu Niangu learned skills form the master from an early age. Edified by the traditional arts, he built a foundation for the studies of Chinese ancient civilization and poetry, traced known works and studied ancient techniques. He learned Chinese paintings, fresco restoration of the ancient temple roads and carving techniques of clay sculpture Buddha from the masters. He is an expert in the painting and carving techniques of the clay sculpture immortals in Buddhism and Taoism. When he was young, he became attached to Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism. He visited masters and friends over mountains and rivers to worship in the temple and comprehend the doctrines. Not only skilled in studying the techniques of masters, he also learned the thinking methods from the predecessors. His works has conducted in-depth art exploration mainly in the form of ink painting and oil painting splash-color to this day.

In 2017, the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China was held. ASIAWEEK magazine was designated as one of the conference’s on-site reception periodicals. The September issue of ASIAWEEK with Wu Niangu on its cover was honored to be present at the 19th National Conference.

From December 2017 to February 2018, Wu Niangu was invited by the Universal Chinese Association in the USA to participate in the Miami International Chinese Culture and Arts Festival in the USA. The Miami International Chinese Culture and Arts Festival selected 100 works from the works of 1000 Chinese crafts and artisan masters across the world as “The world’s 100 influential Chinese craft artists “. Three works of Wu Niangu were on the list. After the exhibition, the three works were collected by the U.S. Universal Culture Collection Museum and exhibited in the United States in the long term. At the same time, the three works and Wu Niangu’s profile were published on the world-renowned media U.S. magazine “Universal Chinese”. The magazine is distributed to 46 countries around the world and collected by over 300 prestigious public picture galleries, such as China’s Peking University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Asia’s third largest library, the Nanjing Library, and so on.

在生命荒野中,書畫正如一隅綠洲,讓厭倦世間枯燥乏味的人生旅人,能夠相聚於此,一飲藝術鑑賞的活水。吳年穀的潑彩禪畫色彩違反常規基調,聲響擾亂周遭律動,姿勢有礙感官和諧,言語破壞物我合一;  不破不立,大破大立。出人意料的是,人們常常可以探索到隱身於畫面背後,更精緻微妙的玄理。

禪畫,就是禪的本身!

吳年穀開創的“潑彩禪畫,水墨禪畫,禪書法”等,深受佛教,道教,儒家思想影響。

畫曰: “非畫也,真道也。當其有事,已遣去機巧,意冥玄化,而物在靈府,不在耳目。” 此中所言,實係禪家工夫,作畫時,拾紙提筆,濃淡水墨重彩與潑彩上手,似胸中早有成稿,運筆猶如神助,漸成作品,嘆為觀止。

而有的作品卻要數月,甚至數年沒有完成,冪冪之中的思緒還在集中,這就是不動筆則已,動則驚天下。

所有的藝術傑作,都是人們以最細緻最微妙的心聲,演奏出的交響樂章。真正的藝術就是伯牙,你我是龍門古琴。深深潛藏的心弦,因為美麗事物的神奇撫按而終於甦醒,且不停振動顫抖,以應其呼喚。既然是心靈的話語,就可以直接向心靈訴說。因此那些未曾說出的,也有辦法聽得見;未曾顯現的,也有辦法看得清。

吳年穀集佛家,道家,儒家思想於一體,運用御風而行的哲理,作品獨成一派。

To celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Establishment of the HKSAR and the 53rd Anniversary of Sino-French Diplomatic Relations, the Confucian Academy and the Hong Kong Music and Performing School walk hand in hand with you to weave “The Belt and Road” Le French May Incomparable Music with Vincent Larderet. To peer create “The Belt and Road” world-class international Cultural Arts Feast and to achieve the success of one country, two systems and Hong Kong’s international market position. Through the cultural exchanges between China and the West to promote mutual understanding, mutual trust and mutual respect, integration of different countries, between different ethnic groups of cultural exchanges and blending, the establishment of world peace channel, break the barrier, the key differences, and promote visionary pipeline to unite all the people, enrich human civilization with Chinese wisdom, highlighting the tradition and modern spirit of Chinese cultural innovation. Efforts to promote Xi Jinping’s “The Belt and Road”, so that “The Belt and Road” more reflects the development of China’s inclusive, beneficial, sharing, improve China’s influence and affinity in the international community.

Under the patronage of the French Consulate and organized by the Association Culturelle France-Hong Kong, Le French May celebrates its Silver Jubilee this year, the Hong Kong Music and Performing School will bring more world-class French and Chinese performing artists at the Le French May Art Festival to realize one future one world Chinese dream of “The Belt and Road”. The Hong Kong Music and Performing School is a non-profit charitable organization, established since 2008 and has developed become a world-class international performing arts organization.  The Hong Kong Music and Performing School is not just a world-class music and performing arts academic institution, it is also a rich aristocratic spirit music art institute and cultural destination. The school founding artists composed by French pianist Vincent Larderet, Chinese cellist Chu Yi-Bing, German violinist Nicolas Koeckert and Italian conductor Giuseppe Cataldo, four distinguished world-class international performing artists and music authoritative professors.  The Hong Kong Music and Performing School is a non-partisan, non-political, inspiration from the unity, ecology, non-violent music performing arts school, understand that we are an important part of education and culture. The highest goal of the academy is to become one of the world’s leading performing arts schools and leading music art development institutes, to cultivate the next generation with world vision, have both talent and virtue high-end performing artists and music and art education professionals of the 21st century.

Vincent Larderet is worthy of the title of highest end French concert pianist of the 21st century. His 3 world premiere recordings of Schmitt’s La Tragédie de Salomé, Ravel’s Orchestral & Virtuoso Piano and Ravel’s Concertos & Schmitt J’entends dans le lointain… won a total of 24 worldwide awards. Larderet is the only living French pianist who received this honor and attracted international recognition for the exceptional intensity of his very personal and deeply inspired interpretations often compared to the piano legends such as Michelangeli, Arrau, Zimerman and Argerich. Praised as an “impressive pianist” (MusicWeb International, UK) for his “very lyrical playing” (Crescendo Magazine, Belgium) and his “multi-timbred” sound (Fanfare, USA), he “makes the piano equal to an orchestra” (Classica, France) with a wide range of “fascinating pianistic colors” (PIANO News, Germany). Internationally renowned as a Ravel specialist, he studied Ravel’s works on Perlemuter’s personal scores annotated after his collaboration with the composer. Graduated from Lübeck’s Musikhochschule in Germany with the legendary pianist Bruno-Leonardo Gelber, he is a winner of various international prizes such as Maria Canals in Barcelona, A.M.A. Calabria (in Italy under the jury of Lazar Berman) and Brest. Honored by the revered title of “Steinway Artist” and nominated for the “International Classical Music Awards” (ICMA), he is also “Classical Revelation” by Adami winner at MIDEM in Cannes and laureate of the “International Orpheum foundation for young Soloists” in Switzerland. Mr Larderet has performed worldwide in recital and concerto at prestigious venues. He is also the Artistic Director of the “Piano au Musée Würth” international festival in France. For his solo recital during “Le French May” associated project, Larderet will perform Debussy, Liszt, Ravel and Berg piano works including the first presentation in HK of his new Brahms – Berg ARS SACD-CD. The German-Brazilian violinist Nicolas Koeckert, who comes from a traditional musical family, was born in Munich, Germany. At the age of 5 he received as a gift his first violin from his grandfather. Nicolas started his academic studies when he was 16 at the Hochschule für Musik Würzburg with Grigori Zhislin. Continuing his studies with Zakhar Bron at the Hochschule für Musik Köln from 1998, Nicolas started to perform regularly as an international soloist. In 2005 he graduated with highest distinctions and two years later finished his Master’s degree.

In 2001, he won the first prize at the ‘International Competition for Young Violinists Novosibirsk’ in Russia, where he also received the special prize for the best performance of the commissioned composition and the ‘Cultural Prize of Novosibirsk’. In 2002 Nicolas Koeckert became the first German to win a prize at the world-famous ‘International Tchaikovsky Competition’ in Moscow. As a recognition for his artistic achievements in the same summer he was awarded with the ‘Artist Promotion Prize of the Bavarian Government’. In the year 2003, he was prize winner at the Montreal International Musical Competition and also was awarded the second prize at the ‘Liana Isakadze International Violin Competition’ in St. Petersburg, Russia.

Nicolas performs regularely as a soloist with leading orchestras from Europe, Asia, Brazil, Mexico and North Amerika like ‘Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal’, ‘Russian National Symphony Orchestra’, Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Bamberg Symphony Orchestra, German Radio Philharmonic Orchestra Saarbrücken Kaiserslautern, ‘KBS Symphony Orchestra’, Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra, ‘Orquestra Sinfônica do Estado de São Paulo’, ‘Orquestra Sinfônica Brasileira’, ‘Orquestra Sinfônica do Teatro Nacional Brasilia’, Orquestra Experimental de Repertório, ‘Norrköping Symphony Orchestra’, Capella Istropolitana, ‘Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra’, ‘Georgian Chamber Orchestra’ and Munich Chamber Orchestra, collaborating with conductors such as Lawrence Foster, Sir Colin Davis, Michail Jurowski, Jonathan Nott, Asher Fisch, José Serebrier, Christoph Poppen, Saulius Sondeckis, Theodor Guschlbauer, Andris Nelsons, Ari Rasilainen, Ira Levin, Nicholas Milton, Marc Piollet, Emil Tabakov, Victor Pablo Pérez, Osvaldo Ferreira, Fabio Mechetti, Benjamin Northey, Gabriel Feltz and Markus Poschner, among others.

For the Bavarian Radio Station, the violinist has recorded various pieces like Ballade Sonata for solo violin No. 3 by Eugène Ysaÿe, Edvard Grieg’s Sonata in C minor, the Sonata by Maurice Ravel, Valse-Scherzo, Op. 34 and Melody, Op. 42/3 by Tchaikovsky, the Béla Bartók’s Solo Sonata, Antonio Bazzini’s Dance of the Goblins, Sibelius and the Second Violin Concerto of Karol Szymanowski.

The CD recording released by Naxos and featuring the Russian and Slavonic Miniatures by Fritz Kreisler was twice selected as the Recording Of The Month in 2006 by both The Strad Magazine and in 2004 by Naxos in Germany.

Nicolas teaches regularly and gives masterclasses in Germany and abroad. He is a teacher at the Vienna Conservatory.
